Well, it's finally happened. At 12:11 pm on Thursday May 31st 2007 little Mia Michelle made her debut. She wasn't very happy about it and did everything she could to stay where she was, but parents (and doctors) have the last word. She was 8 pounds 8 ounces and really started telling those pesky nurses about what she thought about all the commotion going on around her.
We had a very uneventful hospital stay while Gina healed up. I can't say enough about how good the nurses are at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. They were really a pleasure to deal with at any time of the day or night. This morning they said we could go home, so I grabbed the car seat and away we went. Mia seemed a lot more calm that Gina and I on the way home. Maybe she doesn't know about our total lack of experience...
We've been home for about 5 hours and there has only been one meltdown so maybe we'll be ok. Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and visits. Look forward to seeing you soon.
